HF bands : 1.100 QSO and 154 DXCC countries.
6 meters : only 3 QSO's JF1IRW/6, JI1DMH/6 and JA6EHK, from Okinawa island. Very bad conditions and not any opening into Europe.

Dovendo tornare in Italia per alcuni giorni (fino al 6 marzo 2001) il bcn ET3VSC/B sara' inattivo fino a quela data.

Al mio ritorno cerchero' di fare i primi approcci con le autorita' alle quali intendo regalere ufficialmente il beacon quando lascero' il paese. Speriamo lo accettino perche' lo affiderei a mani sicure (ET3BN Peter).

Having to return in Italy for some days (I will be here again March 6 th 2001) the bcn ET3VSC/B will be off until my return.

To my return I will try of to make the first approaches with the authorities to which I intend to give the beacon officially when I will leave the country. I hope that they accept this gift because I would entrust it to sure hands (ET3BN Peter).

Il team VK9WI che ha attivato per voi Willis Island nel Maggio 2000 e di nuovo qui!
Mellish Reef sara' QRV sui 80-6M dal 21 al 24 Aprile 2001.
Questo viaggio a principalmente scopi esplorativi per facilitare la programmazione di una maggiore attivazione su tutte le gamme da Mellish Reef alla fine del 2001 o i primi mesi del 2002.
Il gruppo pensa di assere a Mellish Reef approssimativamente per soli quattro giorni ed essere attivi continuamente con una stazione HF e una 6m.

The VK9WI team who bought you Willis Island in May, 2000 are at it again!
Mellish Reef will be QRV on 80-6M April 21 - 24, 2001.
This trip is primarily a survey trip to help facilitate the planning of a larger "full-on" DXpedition back to Mellish Reef in either late 2001 or early 2002.
The team plan to be on the reef for approximately four days only and whilst there will operate one H.F. station continuously along with one 6M station.

Caro Claudio,
scelgo te come cavia per mandare un primo messaggio via Mailbox agli amici seimetristi italiani.
Ti informo che il beacon ET3VSC su 50.034 e' sempre in funzione (a meno che non mi vedi segnalato sul packet-cluster su altra frequenza).
Il testo, che forse avrai gia' sentito, e':

VVV ET3VSC/BEACON KJ99IA PWR 10W/VERT VVV AR

Visto pero' che molte volte sono in stazione a fare altro mentre il beacon trasmette, ho deciso di mandare un messaggio differente quando sono disponibile per un QSO:

VVV ET3VSC/B KJ99IA 10W/V NW QRV FR QSO 50115 AR

Percio', se si sente il primo messaggio vuol dire che non ci sono, se invece si sente il secondo significa che sono in ascolto su 50.115.
Cosi' se qualcuno sente il beacon e mi vuole chiamare lo puo' fare tranquillamente.
Ti pregherei di informare con il mezzo piu' opportuno gli amici seimetristi.

Sometimes I am in the shack makink other things, so I decided to send a different message and that means that I am ready for a qso.

So if the first message is eared means that I'm not in the shack.
If the second message can be eared means that I'm qrv on 50115. and anybody can call me for qso.

Theo PA3HEN/M0HEN/MM e' nuovamente imbarcato per un viaggio di 3 mesi.
Ieri sera ha lasciato IGGESUND-SM-JP81 per un viaggio fino a JACOBSTAD-OH-KP24 ed egli provera ad attrezzare il suo sistema di antenne al piu' presto possibile.
Da qui egli raggiungera' MANTYLUOTO-OH-KP01 e poi LA CARUNA-EA-IN53 quindi FIGUEIRA DA FOZ-CT-IN50.
Nelle acque finlandesi usera' il suo call OH5HZD/MM.

Hello Readers,
Theo PA3HEN/M0HEN/MM is now on board of his vessel for a new trip of 3 months.
He left yesterday evening IGGESUND-SM-JP81 for a trip to JACOBSTAD-OH-KP24 he try to setup his antenne as soon as possible.
From there it is going to MANTYLUOTO-OH-KP01 then to LA CARUNA-EA-IN53 then to FIGUEIRA DA FOZ-CT-IN50.
In the Finnish waters he is using his OH5HZD/MM call.
