E' stato riportato oggi che Joe
W8GEX e altri quattri membri del
SouthWest Ohio DX Assoc. andranno in
Montenegro dal 13 Augosto per 7 giorni di
attivita' presso la stazione Sky contest.

la dislocazione della YT6A club
station e' sulla cime di una mountagna a
circe 1000 piedi di altezza in un
piacevole edificio.
Essi arriveranno nella serata del 13
agosto. Occorrera del tempo per giungere
sulla cima della colllina (una vera strada
di montagna che richiede per superare i
1000 piedi di dislivello circa un ora con
una Land Rover 4x4 ), per cui essi contano
di essere operativi per il 14 agosto.
Il loro call sara' 4O6DX. Il
team e' composto da Wayne K8LEE,
Janet W8CAA, John KP2A, Jim
W9VNE and Joe W8GEX. Il
gruppo sara' attivo dai 6 ai 160 metri in
CW, SSB and PSK. Il gruppo vuole
ringraziare i propri sponsor, ICOM fper un

day operation at the Sky contest station.

YT6A owns the club station they
will be operating from on top of a
mountain. The location is about 1000 ft
high with a very nice station and
building.
They should arrive at the station late
on Aug. 13. By the time they get up the
hill (a very rocky road that will take a
hour to climb the 1000 ft. in a 4x4 Land
Rover), they should be on the air on the
14th, GMT.
Their call will be 4O6DX. Team
members are Wayne K8LEE, Janet
W8CAA, John KP2A, Jim
W9VNE and Joe W8GEX. The
group will be on 6 to 160m CW, SSB and
PSK. The group would like to thank their
sponsors, ICOM for the Pro III radios;
N3FJP for their logging program; Dave

e' passato molto tempo dall anostra
ultima chiacchierata. Io sono stato
lontano dalla radio per molti motivi fin
dal tardo 2002, il motivo principale
è statta la salute, sono stato in
ospedale per oltre 2 mesi durante il
Natale, l'inizio del 2003 e sottoposto a 3
importanti operazioni. Sono percio'
contento di dire che sono ancora qrv e non
silent key today. Il mio vecchio QTH in
OL72CG non era più operativo come
il deterioramento delle condizioni rf
hanno portato ad un elevato QRM.
Ora sono in un nuovo QTH a Fanling, i
Nuovi Territori nella parte nord di Hong
Kong ed ho nuovamente installato la mia
stazione e le antenne. Sono cosi' tornato
QRV in 6M e in HF. Il grid locator qui e'
OL72CM.
I ho aggiornato le mie informazioni su
QRZ.COM e spero di vedere maggiuore
attivita' sui 6M appena l'attivita' del
prossimo ciclo solare activity fara'
progressi. Attualmente molte notti sono
QRV sui 20M a partire dalle 11:00z, se ti
capitasse di ascoltarmi fammi un
achiamata.

Long time since we last spoke. I had
been off the air for a number of reasons
since late 2002, main reason being health
as I was hospitalized for more then 2
months during Christmas and New Year of
2002/3 and underwent 3 major operations.
Suffice to say I am happy that I am still
QRV and not silent key today. My old QTH
at OL72CG was not operable as the rf
environment deteriorated and there was
just too much QRM.
But I have now moved QTH to Fanling,
New Territories in the Northern part of
Hong Kong and have once again set up my
stations and antennas and now QRV back on
6M and HF. The grid locator there is
OL72CM.
I have updated my information on
QRZ.COM and hope to see more 6M activity
as the solar cycle progress upwards. Most
nights I am QRV on 20M from about 11:00Z,
so if you ever hear me, give me a call.
