VK9C - Cocos- Coc-Keeling Is. - 19.12.21
Zeljko, VK6VY announces a trip to Cocos Island for Oct. 26 until Nov. 3 next year together with Steve, VK6SJ and Alan, VK6CQ. QRV as VK9CM on 160-10m, maybe also 6m, on CW, SSB, and FT8. They also plan to participate in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as VK9C. QSL via EB7DX.

9N7AA (S53R) Robert, wrote: "We have now moved to the new residence and a couple of vertical dipoles were strung from a Spiderbeam pole on the upper terrace of our top floor apartment. I mostly run on 17m as other bands sound rather empty. A new antenna mast was manufactured locally and delivered today, while the Ultra Beam/WIMO 2el Yagi (40-6m) is still at the customs. If all stars align, I will be able to install it before the end of the year. 160/80 will have to wait for a while, though. I have an idea how to install quarter-wave slopers but this will need some negotiations with the neighbors, as the wires will go over two adjacent land plots. Kathmandu is veeery densely populated. And, for those constantly asking: 60m band is not permitted in Nepal. Equipment from my previous operation is still stuck in Kabul and we are trying hard to bring it to Kathmandu. As of very recently, single-airline commercial flights have finally resumed to Dubai, so there is a little tiny light at the end of the tunnel".
